The new look team has made an impressive start to the season and are top of the league having
won their first four league games. The first game was an incredible 13-2 win against Cribbs A! They next won
against Hanham 5-0 with goals scored by five different players. The GFA cup started with a 4-0 lead in the first
half, Wessex then equalised and Ben Jones scored the winner 5 minutes from time.
In the Prem cup the club had a convincing win 4-2 against CribbsA scored by four different players. At the next
game against unbeaten AEK, Old Sodbury excelled winning 3-1 with Charlie Davis scoring a hat trick and full back
Jack Boulton being awarded man of the match.
In the first half of home game against Bedminster the teams were even with Adam Blue scoring from a penalty
close to half time. Josh Field and Will Bennet took the score on to 3-0. Both teams’ goal keepers were awarded
man of the match. In front of 80 supporters in the GFA cup our village team put an end to Iron Acton’s unbeaten
record dominating the game with the winning goal 1-0 scored by Callum Cooper.
